Removing "Documents" From Start Menu

Here's how to remove the Documents folder from the Start menu.


Step 1

Click Start > Run > and type in regedit


Step 2

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer


Step 3

Right click an open area in the right pane and select New > DWORD Value


Step 4

Name it NoRecentDocsMenu


Step 5

Double click this entry and add the value 1


Step 6

Exit RegEdit and restart Windows


After restarting, click on the Start button and the Documents option should be gone.
