Removing "Documents" From Start Menu |
Here's how to remove the Documents folder from the Start menu. |
Step 1 |
Click Start > Run > and type in regedit |
Step 2 |
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer |
Step 3 |
Right click an open area in the right pane and select New > DWORD Value |
Step 4 |
Name it NoRecentDocsMenu |
Step 5 |
Double click this entry and add the value 1 |
Step 6 |
Exit RegEdit and restart Windows |
After restarting, click on the Start button and the Documents option should be gone. |
