Renaming The Recycle Bin

To add the rename option to the right-click menu for the Recycle Bin create a new text file and add the following:

Step 1

Right click a clear part of your Desktop and create a new Text Document and call it recycle.txt

Step 2

Copy [ctrl+c] and paste [ctrl+v] the following into the recycle.txt document:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder]
"Attributes"=hex:50,01,00,20

Save the file and close it.

Step 3

Rename the text file to recycle.reg and double click it. You will be asked if you want to add the information to the registry so click Yes.

Step 4

Right click the Recycle Bin and you should now be able to Rename it.
