Step 1 |
Double click My Computer, and select Folder Options from the Tools menu (or choose Options from the View menu in Windows 95). |
Step 2 |
Click on the View tab, turn off Hide MS-DOS file extensions for known file types, and press OK. |
You will now be able to see the 3 letter associated file extension which is particularly useful in differentiating between similarly named files. |
